KYLIE....

To cap off an already huge weekend, I went to see Kylie perform at Acer Arena last nite. It absolutely kicked a$$. She glowed and looked absolutely radiant with her short hair. Kylie's absolute peak I believe was 4 years ago. I've always been a fan but it really grew after the 'Love at first sight' video came out. I thought she looked absolutely gorgeous with her cargo's and white singlet top. I was goneski.
From the moment she appeared in her showgirl outfit, the crowd went off!!! In fact, the crowd was really into it all nite, it was a great atmosphere. Everyone was getting into it, standing up and dancing, even the elderly couple next to Jemaine.
The colours, the dancing, the energy..... Everything was done at a high intensity.
She went through all the classics including a slow mo version of 'locomotion' , a duet of 'especially for you' with the crowd and some new material as well. As the show wound down, my fave 'Love at first sight' had not been done yet and I disappointingly thought that it would be left out. But the last song of the night, she did an awesome up tempo version of it. The crowd went wild, slamming their feets. It was an awesome nite. She's an Australian icon but you can really tell she's a really humnble human being. It was a night to remember......

REUNION

I've been onsite at Lane Cove for a week and a half. I finished my project 2 days early and I'm glad to say , I'm outta that h_ll hole! Getting there is an absolute nightmare!!!!!!!!!!! This is the first time ever I've driven to work and the traffic between homebush bay drive and Epping Road can send one over the edge. It's a crawl! And Lane Cove Business Park is dead!!!!!! There is nothing to do there and the takeaway shops offer very little variety. Hopefully I won't need to be back there anytime soon.

One of the most life changing moments occurred when I decided to find a footy team to join and in early 2001, met up with some guys who I recognised from being in the year below me during High School. Initially thinking they would be a bunch of gumbies, they turned out to be true hearted warriors who I've come to be great friends with. Almost 6 years later, we're still going strong. I frequently refer to them to my other groups of friends as the "footy guys". We've formed a strong bond which started out with a love of oztag/footy that branched out into other sports. Through them I was able to meet friends from their year and form some lifelong friendships along the way. It's funny when I think about it sometimes, how I would see these guys more then I do friends from my own year. So I guess it was fitting that I scunged an invite to their 10 yr reunion last Sat nite at PEPPERMINT LOUNGE in Kings Cross. I kept the invite hush hush cause I wanted to surprise the guys on the nite. Unfortunately a few guys piked but I think some of the guys who rocked up like Scotty, Quang and Phi were genuinely surprised. I recognised most of the people from the year. Some had changed and some hadn't. I even got to vote in the awards recognising "most changed" , "least changed" etc even copping a glare from Kristy who questioned my validity to vote hahaha.

All in all, a great night. Felt like an honorary class of 96 Seftonite.

OUTED

So I was at work today when my friend sent me an MSN message. I was gonna go over his house on the weekend to get help with some work stuff so he brought up the topic before throwing a huge spanner in the works. He mentioned something along the lines of if he helped me out then I'ld have to intro him to some cute guys. I thought he was mucking around and then I realised he was serious and in his words "I've jumped the fence. I'm gay" I was pretty shocked. He'd just recently divorced his wife. He'd say some off the cuff remark every now and then that seemed pretty g@y but I just passed it off as silly guy talk. But he basically said that he finally had the balls to admit to himself that he was g@y so hats off to him. It just took me by surprise........
