ENTOURAGE
My fave show on the box at the moment is ENTOURAGE on foxtel. It's based partially on the background of Mark Wahlberg and his experiennces scaling the A list ladder in La La land surrounded by bunch of his best mates; his entourage. But in this case, the main character is an actor callde Vincent. I guess one of the reasons I enjoy the show so much is the fact that I'm so envious of the life that Vince leads. Which young guy wouldn't be???? To be young, handsome , paid a motza, live in large mansions and have your pick of gorgeous young ladies throwing themselves at you every nite. Now can you see why I'm envious. Nice job if you can get it.....

MIXED WEEK
We lost our oztag grand final. It was a whole hearted effort from the boys. There was not a lot of margin for error. As always is, we're usually not as physically gifted as our opposing teams and rely on heart and terrior like committment to come out trumps. But on this occasion, we were outclassed and lost 6-2. Oh well, what doesn't kill you, right??????
For some strange reason I craved a guinness ALL week. Odd considering I can't handle my booze. So on Friday, on St Pat's , I met up with some of the guys for Myle's drinks and got me a guinness. I struggled and ended up finishing half of it which is pretty good for me. Then it was off to see the dogs' hammer the tigers. Man, that was good stuff. Great way to start the weekend.
On Sat we went to eastern creek go karts. Man, what a rush! It was my first time ever and we had a grand prix event comprising of heats and finals. The adrenalin and excitement of steering that little machine was off the charts. I managed to finish the heats somewhere in the middle of the pack, out of 16 people. But the final would turn out to be a horror for me. I really pushed it and ended spinning out at 3 times.
I got a warning and was flagged into the pits. The dude says "Is there any reason you're going so fast?" . Duh! I'm trying to win the race. It was the final, I didn't hold back. But it was a race to forget. Exhilirating experience nonetheless.

OZTAG
We've just made our 3rd oztag grand final in a row after a hard fought win on Thursday. It was a sensational effort from the boys.
Most of the teams in the comp are middle easterners. It's a tough and physical comp. They respect us but you can tell they really hate losing to us. Here's a bunch of soft looking asians/indians/aussies . They're probably thinking that we should be off somewhere playing badminton or table tennis let alone on the hallowed turf of Birrong park beating them at their own game. It's always extremely satisfying when we do.
Their was some niggle at the end of the game on Thursday due in course to us prevailing after trailing 2-0 early on. But credit to our boys who never take a backward step.
We lost our grand final last season after leading 3-0 and it still hurts. Hopefully a win next Thursday can ease some of that pain...........
