BOOM! CRASH! OPERA!
So it was a tough hard fought game at touch tonite. We managed to come out on top
4-3 and I was lucky enough to score the winning try after a switch back inside from Jezza.
My colleague Janine drives a few of us home after the game. We're heading to central on the freeway before the bridge when a car pulls into our lane in front of us and totally stops. Janine puts on the brakes and then BAM - a car rams us from behind. This was the first car crash of any type I've been involved in. Thankfully none of us were too badly hurt and the damage didn't look too bad. The car that caused the crash wasn't damaged at all. So the driver comes out and she turns out to be a tall attractive asian girl. Dayum!
It took the cops 1 hr to arrive. Got to have a ride in the back of the car. Quite an experience.
So arriving back at Bankstown station, I walked into the middle of a catfight. Around 20 people milled around as 2 girls went at it.
A night to remember, mostly for the wrong reasons.

I LOVE FOOD II
The only way I can justify eating so much junk food is by playing a lot of sport. Lucky for me my metabolism has kicked into gear and I can get away with enjoying those tasty treats - the things that make life worthwhile. I've been on a junkfood binge since last Thursday. It's been total bliss.
On Thursday, lunch was leftovers from the Cognos training room. Rice with curry and fried noodles and caesar salad. I've developed a taste for caesar salad recently although I try to stick to the greek salads during the week. At nite we had a work presentation so I had to ditch touch footy. It wasn't too hard when I heard we were ordering in gourment pizza's from this place called Red Rock up the road. It's a well known place in Cognos circles and the pizza's are to die for. The tandoori chicken in particular - best topping ever!
On Friday, more leftovers from education for lunch. Cold meats, salads and those frankfurts you use to have at kids parties. Man I haven't had those to eat for ages.
They were pretty damn good too. At nite was footy and my mates and I dropped off to get some takeaway from Habibs. I usually get half chickien with chips , 1 slice of lebanese bread and a container of pickles. Man that hit the spot, shame about the footy though.
Saturday , had a couple of four n twenty pies for lunch during golf. Had a craving for pho as well so had dinner at Canley Heights. We headed off to watch GUESS WHO and I was really really craving a big bowl of popcorn but we freakin got there late and the line was HUGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On Sunday nite after cricket, my mum cooked some big juicy steaks with crisp golden potatoes and steamed broccoli. That was sensational. My brother made some banana bread as well and I washed everything down with an orange n mango fizzy drink.
My dream day would be:
- Full continental breakfast. Bacon and eggs with fried tomatoes and fresh crunchy bread and orange juice
- buffet lunch at some RSL. Merrylands has long been a fave of mine.
- Seafood dinner. Plenty of rock oysters and tonnes of crab. Followed by a dessert of a banana split and jello.
At the moment, I have a huge craving for rock oysters and some crab. I think I'll organise a seafood nite!

WHAT TO DO
I've been at Cognos for 2 years now and it's been a real challenge. The work is tough and demanding and the skillset required grows exponentially with each product release. Salary wise I make a good living, nothing exceptional but enough to get by with. I enjoy the people I work with and the perks that come with the job. Free lunches almost daily, monthly bbq's , quarterly dinners , paid outings and a lot more. I can't say they don't look after their employees because they do. I guess I am in a privilleged position in that Cognos is an in demand sector within IT and a lot of companies pay good money for Cognos specialists. A lot of my former colleagues have gone onto attractive roles after leaving our team. I guess my decision now is when to make that jump. I'm not money hungry and never have been. My job is still extremely challenging and often stressful considering I deal with SLA's daily. I'll be getting a spanking new laptop shortly as well. The downside I guess is the travel, I really hate travelling to St Leonards. I'ld give anything to work in the city again.
So I've been checking out the market values for a Business Intelligence Analyst and it certainly does look like it's an appealing in demand position. Am I ready to make that jump? I don't really know. Am I considering it? Definitely. Am I happy where I am? To an extent yes.Would I jump ship if I knew I could earn 10-15k more? I would certainly think hard about it.

FANTASTIC WEEKEND
What a freakin fantastic weekend! I got a great new pair of sunnies on Sat and they were free! Thanks NIB :p
The big boys of the WWE rolled into town on Sat nite. And did they give the crowd a great show or what. 17,000 fans rolled in to watch the show and it went off! Sure we know the results are scripted, but that doesn't retract from the energy of the show. It's like a rock concert, comedy show and action fest all rolled into one. Unfortunately they didn't bring the pyros but a lot of the big stars came out - HHH , Ric Flair, Kane , Benoit , Christian , Edge and Batista. Hahaha, even bumped into the Minhster and Jem there. Sensational!
Today was a golf day with the boys at Concord. My first time on the course and really enjoyed the layout of the ground. Fairways were in tip top condition. As for my game, my driving was on song but my normally reliable iron shots really let me down at vital stages. Putting was admittingly a bit poor as well. We made it back to Luan's place where the girls had a feast waiting for us.
