BLESSED THE ENTERTAINMENT BOOK
Eating out is one of life's greatest pleasures. To be waited on hand and foot while you eat wonderful food, there is nothing better. The entertainment book is great if you want to eat out, there are some great bargains to be had. On Saturday nite, I went to Danny's seafood at La Perouse. I only knew of this restaurant cause I'd seen the NSW origin league team have their team dinners there during origin camp and they always looked like they were having a great time. So Loan and I headed there on Sat nite. It was a beautiful Saturday and a balmy nite. The location was really picturesque and I can only imagine the views would have been enhanced during summer. The outside dining area was warm and extremely cosy. It was a beautiful ambience. The waiters deserve a solid mention. Not only were they extremely chirpy and friendly, their attention to detail was immaculate. So we got the hot/cold platter. I love platters!!!!!!!! It was glorious! I love seafood!
They had these guys in hawaiian shirts going around and playing tunes and taking requests, it was a nice touch. I was this --> <-- close to getting up and dancing I tell ya!
Anyway, sensational restaurant. www.dannys.com.au. Check it out if you love seafood. A must. 9/10

UPDATE
My grandmother on my dad's side died last week. She had been ill for a while and although expected, it was still a shock when we got the message. I had come back from lunch and there were 3 messages on my mobile telling me to call home ASAP. My brother told me she had passed away. My dad left straight away to go home to Vietnam for the funeral. This was on top of my mum's mother dying a few mths ago. One of my friends said a lot us are at the age where our grandparents are passing away and this rings true. My grandmother spent 6 mths over here and 6 months in Vietnam and sometimes it's hard when you never get the chance to say goodbye in person, you tend to think about things like "I wish I could have talked to her more" and how she wanted me to go back home to VN to see where I came from because it was one of her wishes for me to see where I came from cause I've never been home since I've left. I will keep my promise to her......
In other news, spent a big weekend at the snows with a group of friends. I'm a snow virgin so it was a great experience travelling up to Thredbo and giving snowboarding a go. It was quite a rush. But I tell you what, it's a freakin dangerous activity. You can work up some speed and falling over at such speeds or crashing into someone else, I'm not surprised at some of the mayhem that can occur on the slopes. I managed to escape anything serious other than some minor bruising and aches.
There were sooooo many young uns on the slopes , 5-8 yr olds who were damn good. It was really cute seeing some of the really young ones going down the hill looking like seasoned veterans.
My only qualm was being over 2 days, everything was really crammed in. A lot of queueing as well. On the first nite, we got to the village at midnight and had to spend a few hrs getting our gear. Everyone spent a lot of time sleeping on the buses.
Thankfully however the weather was really good and I can look back onto my first time at the snows with fondness.....

SHOWGIRL!!!!!
Was on the ticketek site at 9am sharp and managed to snap up tix to the Kylie Showgirl show. YAY! Can't wait. They said limited tickets were left, didn't what numbers that meant but I was determined not to miss out.
Snows this weekend and a few days off work for some R n R. Long overdue.....

SBW the man
You know how in the Sydney Confidential they always have a snippet of a famous celebrity spotted at particular places. I remember reading that Sonny Bill was spotted shopping at General Pants at Miranda.
Well I headed down to Miranda on Saturday to do some shopping. I thought wouldn't it be cool if I bumped into SBW. Well, as I was browsing some jeans on the rack, who else but SBW walked by. No joke. First thing I thought was how big he was as this was the first time I was able to stand beside him and compare himself. He's probably around the 6'4 mark. Gave him a quick "congrats on the game last nite" which was acknowledged and left him to do his shopping. Looked like he bought a hat. A bit later, St George winger Colin Best walked in. So I bought some jeans and was telling the salesperson how there seems to be a fair bit of footy players in today, he mentioned that Willie Mason was in yesterday.

SENSASH WEEKEND
One of those weekends where everything falls into place. Caught up with some of the guys for Superman on Sat at Bondi. Eagerly anticipating this for a while and when the theme music hit, I knew he was back baby! Verdict? I liked it. 8/10 . Great blend of action with an intrinsic love theme. A sequel will definitely be in the works. They didn't bring him back just for one movie, this is a license to print money. There will be 2 more in the series at least.
Had a really fun sports day today due to people's keen-ness to kick the soccer ball around and release the pent in frustration of the socceroos defeat. OMG, the girls on my team are animals! Eliza and Thuy are our versions of lucas neil and brett emerton, they were phenomenal at the back and saved our necks aplenty. They put the guys to shame hahahah. It was great.
And the DOGS SMASHED THE TIGERS!!!!!!!!! You ripper, you freakin ripper!!!!!!!!!!
