YOU LITTLE RIPPER......
We won our GRAND FINAL tonite. I am sooooo happy. Stark contrast to 4 weeks ago when I thought the season was gone. But we beat all the top teams and came up trumps in extra time. To say I was pumped for this game was an understatement. I felt I had let the team down the last time we played this side, I wanted to make amends badly.
I also managed to record the game. Our last GF , my battery died after 10mins and I was pretty annoyed. But now I've got a memento of this fantastic game.
One of our stars Thuy was out due to a lung infection but the rest were rarin. And it was the trashiest game I have EVER played. I loved it. The opposition were into the ref after every set. Questioning every decision and just having a running battle with the refs. It was ridiculous. The captains were called out 2 or 3 times. Being the sh_t stirrer that I am , though I prefer to call it mental disintegration, I kept egging on their key playmaker and when he swore it me, he got sinbinned. It wsa glorious. Don't think it was the best game we have played all season but we did enough to win. I gave Sovan the cherry picker tryer she asked of me. Mica had a blinder and scored 3 tries including the match winner. Scenes of jubilation after the game was rife, everyone was so proud. We celebrated with a pizza after and relived the key moments in the match. It was certainly a nite I won't forget in a long time. Love the guys......
Looks like I'll be join the upper class corporate brigade after landing the consultant job I was after. I'll be starting in the city in a month. Footy in the domain, lunch with the guys. This job is a great opportunity for me and to say I'm excited is an understatement.

MY NEW BABY
I got my new Nokia N70 phone off Riss this week and haven't been able to put it down. It's so cool. It's such a huge leap up from my old phones. It's mind boggling the things you can do on it. I don't think I've even scratched the surface of what the phone can do. Still owe Riss a coupla bux for the phone. She's threatened to start rumours if I don't finalise my payments hahaha, onya Riss :p
We had Thy's bday and Loan's work farewell at Opera Bar last nite. I thought it would be a great opportunity to test my new phone camera. But I discovered one caveat, the flash doesn't work too well at night. During the day, the image is crystal clear but under dark conditions, the image is pretty sub standard I must say so a lot of the photos didn't turn out too well( dayum, had a few pics of Thy getting funcky with Trinh too). I guess it's more an opportunistic camera rather then one to replace a purely digital camera.
It was a great nite. Luckily the impending thunderstorm stayed away and we got Thy smashed hahaha. I got roped into having shots despite my protests but I was allowed a QF instead of tequila and that was ok. Finished off with a late nite bite at City Extra.

Oh yeah, we made our touch footy grand final! It was a sensational game last week which we won 5-3. Sovan came back and made an impact though I couldn't supply her with the cherry picker try she desperately craved hahaha. Sonny Bill Chow played his best game of the year. The guys are primed for a big performance this week. I know we can win. I'll be doing everything I can to ensure we do win.......

UPDATE
I saw the transformer teaser trailer. This is the BLOCKBUSTER movie I'm waiting for next year - big time. I'll be on all the big websites til next year reading all the goss. I just hope that the original songs DARE and THE TOUCH from the original cartoon movie get a run in the movie as well. It's gonna kick A$$ ( I hope..... )

Riss was selling her nokia n70. I'd thought about upgrading my phone for a while. I've always only had the basic models so when I heard she was selling for a good price then I decided to snap it up. And it's got a snappy phone. I've been to too many events this year where photo opportunites come up but I don't have my camera, this will solve that problem.

Last wed we drew our touch footy game. We thought we needed to win to make the semis.
I was shattered all week until one of the guys checked the website and the team that we thought would be in the semis actually lost( against the bottom placed team ) and instead we sneaked in. I was pumped all week and tonite we came away with a 3-1 win tonite. Jen scored 2. The girls in our team are sensational, can't speak highly of them enough. We have a major semi next week. I want to win this comp bad!!!!!!!!!!

THE FOOTY LEGEND
My mate Lu Luc is the footy legend! A gathering of the footy guys gathered on Sat nite to go out and check the new release FOOTY LEGENDS. Essentially a feel good story about a bunch of footy has beens playing the greatest game of all in the western suburbs. To add a pinch of authenticity to the evening, we decided to watch it at Bankstown Hoyts, a cinema many of us had not visited since our High School days. I remember meeting Khoa Do at a party once and was hinting to him to use us in the movie as he was shooting at the time. Putting my acting career on hold , I must say that he did a remarkable job. It was a sensational feel good movie that I enjoyed immensely, probably my fave movie this year. It was real and as a wannabe footy try hard from the suburbs it was something I could relate to. But fair dinkum,
the story was ripped off and plagiarised on the life of my good buddy, Lu Luc. Lucky to his mates. Seriously, the main character is Luc Vu. One letter differentiating him with Lu Luc. Both originated from Yagoona. Both are footy captains. And geez, the shape of their heads are the same.
Both have a penchant for the word SOFT. And Luc Vu's sister in the movie reminds me of Lu's missus. Cereal. It's like someones been following Lu around with a hidden camera documenting his life. It's hilarious hahahahah.
Only difference is one has a penchant for flannelette shirts, the other not so much.
But all in all, a fantastic movie. Even if you don't like footy, it's a feel good movie in the same vain as the Full Monty. Some wonderful characters. Tender moments and plenty of laughs. I enjoyed it immensely, 9/10.
