THE KILLING FIELDS
So I was just scrolling ezydvd looking for some new release dvd's to add to my must buy list and came across "The Killing Fields". Man, I can recall how this movie affected me on so many levels. I think it's the only movie I've really totally lost it - especially the ending with John Lennon's "imagine" playing. Possibly the most emotional scene I've ever seen in a movie. It still affects me to this day.

Aqua golf + White Water Rafting
Aqua golf is ridiculously addictive. It's like playing the pokies. You have targets that have monetary values should you hole it in one. Obviously the further the target, the larger the payout. 4 buckets after, I was down close to 20 bux with nothing to show for it. Blast!
White Water Rafting was a great experience. Although the course was small, it was certainly a fun activity to do on a hot Sunday arvo.

WCC
I can't remember the last time I woke up at 5am. It may have been for a camp in high school. But I woke at this ungodly hour to join a thousand other bulldogs fans to watch the World Club Challenge on the big screen at homebush. It was set up as part of the Tsunami relief effort. Leeds Rhinos won 39-32 in the end, but it was a good effort by the boys who trailed by 26 points at one stage. The close finish put the big crowd on edge but the poms were just a bit too good on home soil for our understrength team.
Played golf at Rosnay with Dave in the arvo. My driver is giving me nightmares. I hit some extremely ordinary shots off the tee. By the last few holes, they were coming out sweet. My iron shots are killing it but these drivers are a seriously hindrance in my quest to bring down my handicap. In saying that, I did end up shooting my best round at the course. Woot!
