A CONSULTANTS LIFE
------------------

I work with a lot of consultants and thats a path that I could possibly head down further in my career and one that I had previously aimed towards. But talking to one of the consultants at my work, even though I know he is paid well, he travels a lot, works crazy hours and lives in a world where he could be called away at a whim.

This is something that when i think about it, I wouldn't like to do. Money isn't everything to me. I would rather earn less and be happier and a consultants life is something that the more I learn about, I find less appealing.

I enjoy looking forward to playing oztag each week. I enjoy looking forward to watching my fave tv shows each weekend. I enjoy looking forward to watching the Dogs play each weekend. I enjoy looking forward to seeing my friends on the weekend. I enjoy looking forward to playing sports on the weekend. I enjoy stability in my life.

I think I'll be content aiming for an analyst programmers role a few years down the track. Thats my goal. It may not pay as much as a consultant but I think I will be much happier. In this crazy world, happiness means so much to me.

I was just watching the news and saw the family of the korean man who was beheaded in Iraq. They were obviously distraught beyond belief. The image of the victim begging for his life will haunt me for a long time. The people who commit these crimes are pure evil. My thoughts are with the family of the victim.

Went to the central coast on Sat nite to watch the Dogs play the Raiders. It was a bloody cold nite but luckily the rain held off. As soon as I got to my seat, I cheekily received an SMS from Arjun telling me to look to my right to see him there with Swetha. The dogs got up by 4 which made the trip back to Sydney a lot more bearable than the lost a few weeks back.

Got back in time to catch a session of "Super Size Me". Had been wanting to watch this for a while now but the lack of locations it was showing at really made it hard. I've always been a huge of documentaries and must say that I really enjoyed the flick. I've never seen so many huge asses in the space of an hour and a half.
One guy who suffered from diabetes drank 3 big gallon tubs of soda every day. Talk about wanting to get diabetes. And the food they serve in American schools is primarily processed rubbish.

Funnily enough, it didn't put me off Mickey Dee's. In fact, I wish we had the SuperSize option in Oz.

Ended the night with a big steak meal at Pancakes at the Rocks.

Top 5 docos ever made:
1) Pumping Iron
2) When we were Kings
3) Beyond the Mat
4) Super Size Me
5) Bowling for Columbine

It's 1am and I just finished watching the Dogs hammer the Roosters for the 4th time after coming back from the cinemas. I can harp on and throw superlatives at that performance but I've literally run out of things to say that still do it justice.

I thought my day was farked when she left a message saying she couldn't make it out tonite. I really really wanted to see her. She's playing hard to get. No matter, I'm doin it right this time. So I call some of my mates to watch "Day after tomorrow", they can't make it. Leave me hanging yeh boys. Hadn't seen Jem since she returned so I buzz her, yay, she's free! So we head up to have dinner with Nhi and Dave and catch the flick.

I really liked it. Special effects were outta this world. Made you really think if this was possible. I think to myself, if I knew it was coming, how would I like to spend my last few hrs? I guess it'd have to be with family and as many loved ones/friends that I can find. I just hope I never have to make that decision.......

THE EGO HAS LANDED.... for good.
------------------

For a long time, it was about satisfying my ego. It was all about the gym, all about having arms that made people go "wow" , about having a chest that made you feel bulletproof. It was empowerment. It was consuming. It was fulfilment, but it was lonely.
I ran into my old training partner Robbie last week. He was no longer the big ass dude that I had known. "What happened" I asked him. He says "You have to stop loving yourself some time"!

That's why it's time to grow up.

The next chapter of my life is all about romantic walks on the beach, holding hands and watching dvd's, candlelight dinners and sitting in bed listening to my classic love song collection. With her..............
